Breathe2Relax-DHA Connected Health.
Inhales and exhales are customized to help the person achieve a relaxed state. Heart rate is measured throughout each deep breathing session to gauge whether the exercise is working to calm the user. Results are saved within the app to keep a record of each session and how effective the breathing exercises worked. Best of all, Breathe2Relax is one of the top free mental health apps for college students.
Happify uses games and activities to relax the individual. Happify is available on cross platforms, including smartphones, tablets, desktops, and laptop computers. A few simple activities completed on a weekly basis relaxes the person and measure his or her “happiness.”
The app includes guided meditation, tips for building confidence and reducing stress, and a monitor to record heart rate. The app also provides a goal section to record mental health achievements. Sanvello is free to download with many tools open to all users. Premium features can be unlocked through a low fee.
VA Mental Health Apps
The mental health applications in the suite of product were designed specifically for veterans through the Department of Veteran Affairs, but anyone can use them. Each app provides different activities based on the user’s current mental health state. As an example, Mood Coach monitors the person’s mood and offers quick relief strategies to lower stress levels. PTSD Coach provides mental health coping methods for those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. The apps are free to download and available through the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.

Substance Use Diary (S.U.D) is a recovery-orientated tool for substance users. Allowing users to track and monitor their own substance use, frequency and cost. As well as progress towards recovery and help reduce harm to both health and well-being.ga-pedia includes images and instructions for nearly 100 yoga poses and mudras. It also includes a "pose of the day" feature where each day, users can stream a short audio lesson for one of the poses included in the app. Images, instruction, and audio narration are all integrated with the Pose of the Day feature.
